In my Letra Latina series, with images from Colombia and Central America, I capture visual slices of the ever-changing urban fabric that is made up of traces of posters, messages, graffiti, tags, scribbles, advertisements, tape, stickers, and other informal means of communication.
With my camera I close in on these constantly transformed micro-layers of the city, capturing a certain instance in time, letting the material serendipity of patterns, shapes and colors form a point of departure for the design of yet another collage of time, another layer of time.
